Tina Lunt, Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Tina Lunt is NCWA's Regulatory Affairs Specialist. Tina works with NCWA members on water quality issues and represents Northern California water users before regulatory and water management agencies.
Tina joined NCWA after five years as Watershed Coordinator and Project Coordinator with the Sloughhouse Resource Conservation District (RCD). Tina's focus was on management and coordination of watershed enhancement projects and activities. She fostered a synergistic atmosphere between the RCD and various agencies in order to accomplish multiple goals and objectives leading to improvements in overall watershed health. She developed programs that emphasized the use of best management practices, community involvement in water quality monitoring, and provided water quality management workshops to ranchers. She also assisted farmers and ranchers in complying with water related regulations such as the Conditional Waivers for Discharges from Irrigated Lands.
Prior to working for the Sloughhouse Resource Conservation District, Tina completed two terms with AmeriCorps where she provided outreach and education to school age children.
Tina received her Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Planning from Humboldt State University and her Associates of Science degree with and emphasis in Environmental Studies from Columbia Junior College.
